PANTA® SMD 0,50 mm pitch

This is in contrast to a through hole (TH) device where the leads are threaded through holes in the board and then soldered to pads on the opposite side of the circuit board. Especially the PANTA® SMD in pitch 0,50 mm are used as  high density flexible board connection for the usage on circuit board in sandwich-configuration or for electronic connections to various assembly positions.

In addition to system-specific applications, SMD connectors are also a cost-effective alternative to flex-rigid PCBs. Two conventional PCBs can be easily combined with a PANTA^© SMD Jumper as a connecting element (surface mounted interconnect, SMI).
